I just wanted to let you know that Mia lost her battle with Kidney Disease on Sunday.
She was diagnosed with the disease in October when we took her in to get her teeth cleaned. Our vet said that she had had it for some time and it was in the most advanced stages.
We have been giving her antibiotics to help battle the infection but it didn’t seem to help. She lost about 6 pounds in that short period.
Of all our adopted dogs we had her the shortest (not quite 2 and a half years) and she made the biggest imprint in both my wife’s and myself’s lives.
She always wanted to be loved and she had so much love to give back. She was very special to us and she will be surely missed. It doesn’t seem fair to have a dog at the age of 4 to leave well before her time.
I am attaching a photo for the rainbow bridge section of the web site. She was always a happy dog and the photo shows that.
Thank you for rescuing her and bringing her into our lives. She will never be forgotten.
